Hi! My name's Steve, and I'm the owner of Oakley Dental. I have been here for over 12 years and in April 2009 relocated Oakley Dental from Crumpsall to Prestwich, North Manchester. My vision is to focus on providing exceptional patient care and offer the highest quality dentistry today.

Since graduating in 1987 from Manchester (with a clinical prize I might add), I have completed extensive courses on a wide variety of topics including:

• Advanced Restorative Higher Dentistry Award
• Conscious Sedation (for the nervous amongst you)
• Cosmetic Dentistry at the London Dental Centre
• Restorative Dentistry.

I feel that in order to offer my patients the best level of care I need to keep up to date with the latest technology and clinical advances.

I have a special interest in treating nervous patients, and I am qualified to administer both oral and intravenous sedative medication to help you feel relaxed.

In my spare time (when I have some) I enjoy mountain biking, but I especially enjoy spending time with my wife Rayna, who you'll meet further down this page, and our three children; Natasha, Joshua and Olivia.

Clinical advances, which is why I have recently enrolled upon a one year advance restorative course, have completed clearstep invisible brace training, and next month I will be receiving training on the inman aligner. With my renewed interest in adult orthodontics I am also due to fly to New York later in the year for further training in the revolutionary new six month smile treatment.

My name’s Michelle, and I’m a dental therapist here at Oakley Dental. I qualified in July 2006 from the University of Manchester and have been working at Oakley for the past two years. I am passionate about my job and do my best to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.

In my spare time I enjoy running and socialising with friends.

Holly Smethurst

Practice Manager

I’m the practice manager at Oakley Dental. I have spent over 8 years working within the dental industry in both clinical and secretarial roles, most recently as the business manager for a dental training academy based in Leeds. This has given me a broad knowledge of the dental industry as a whole, and I am passionate about it.

I am always available to speak to you should you have any questions about your treatment or your experience at the practice.

My main role is to make sure your experience with us is something to remember, allowing Steven to concentrate on what he does best, creating stunning smiles. In my spare time, which as a mother of two little boys is very little not very often, I love to read and spend time with my husband.

Charlotte Sutton

Dental Nurse & Treatment Co-ordinator

I have been a dental nurse for the past 8 years. I have a special interest in treating nervous patients and have completed courses in conscious sedation. My warm and sympathetic nature enables me to ease the fear people feel when visiting us. I also have a vast knowledge of dental implants. I split my working week between clinical and administration, making sure I am available for our patients to discuss treatment and ensure their visits to us are exceptional.

Natalie Finley

Dental Nurse & Treatment Co-ordinator

After spending 4 years as a dental nurse in a city centre practice, I recently took time out to have my daughter. I have returned to work here at Oarkley Dental as treatment co-ordinator. You will often see me on reception, but my main role is to ensure your experience at Oakley is a good one!

Niamh Campbell-Rose

I have just qualified as a dental nurse and am enjoying the experience at Oakley Dental. I have a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and sedation and hope to further my knowledge in these areas. I also enjoy the administration aspect of the dental practice. In my spare time I like to listen to music and socialise with friends.

Rayna Maskill

Hi! I'm Rayna. As you may have guessed from my surname, I am Steve's wife. I'm the Business Administrator for Oakley Dental and I'm responsible for all the financial aspects of the company.

You may not have noticed as I usually work behind the scenes at Oakley Dental, but I've worked alongside with Steve for quite a few years.

Our continued success is all down to the whole team working together to ensure the highest level of patient care.

In my spare time, I inevitably run around looking after Steve and the kids! It's a hard job, but someone's got to do it!
