Practice Manager

I joined Oakley Dental early February 2022. I qualified as a dental nurse with the NHS in 2012. After qualifying as a dental nurse, I joined private dentistry as I enjoyed assisting in Smile Makeovers this includes Composite Bonding cases, porcelain cases etc. During my time as a dental nurse, I gained additional qualifications to help widen my knowledge in dentistry, for example Oral Health Education; IV/Inhalation Sedation; Implant Nursing; Intra Oral Scanning; Impression Taking as well as keeping up to date with my CPDs. After gaining my additional qualifications I worked my way up to Head Dental Nurse.

After 4 years of nursing in private dentistry I wanted to seek a new challenge as a treatment coordinator as I enjoy meeting patients face to face and having the time to have a good chat with them whilst helping them choose a treatment plan that is best suited to them, advised by their dentist.

I then worked my way up to a Practice Manager – within my role, I put patient care and safety first, this includes making sure all the patients are happy at Oakley Dental, with my outgoing and caring personality, I try my best to help nervous patients feel at ease during their visit at the practice. I ensure that my team are happy and the practice is ran as smoothly as possible.

Fitness is a part of my everyday life, this includes gym at least 1x daily, if I’m not in the gym you will catch me running outdoors. I try to have a ‘self-care day’ 1x weekly this will be taking time for myself to catch up on some reading whilst listening to music or going on long country walks if the sun appears!
